A peek into the past

An interview of Anwar Ibrahim during his physical therapy session in Germany... Understand how he fell out of power because of his duties for Malaysia as a whole and not just the ELITES... He could have just waited for five years and he would have become PM.. but the Asian Financial Crisis called for the action of a selfless patriot, not a profiteering opportunist... and thus Anwar went against Dr. M and that led to his downfall...

Listen to his answers at the end of the interview and you shall hear the seeds of the multiracial agenda and the aspiration for democracy embedded in this bedridden man's speech..

REFORMASI!!!

Babi Negara

U thought the "Haram-Bersih" Video was funny.... think again.. coz i think we hav a candidate for funniest Malaysian political video of the year....

Yeah... It looks like Jeff Ooi is enjoying himself in Parliment.. I know I would if i was there...

Here's the full version... see how KJ bersikap biadap n defend his insults, and yet when treated with the same medicine, he is quick to accuse Pakatan Rakyat MPs for their remarks..

I love watching videos of the Malaysian Parliament.. LOL

Proud Malaysians

Ever since i read an INC. Magazine article stating that Malaysia could be the number one pirate bay for Software and movie bootleggers, I have always had a sense of pride of our piracy driven entertainment industry.. Not even mighty China could rival us... Kuala Lumpur is now what Tortuga was to the Caribbean during the age of sail... But instead of Silver and Spice... we peddle in raw binary.... yummmyy....

And today... on a recent visit to my movie site... I saw something that lifted my pride even more...

For a few months now... quicksilverscreen.com has been my online source for free movies... and i'm talking about DIVX quality movies here.. none of that damn youtube quality crap... And today.. i saw this on their temporarily disabled website

This morning we were falsely accused of hosting copyrighted content by the Malaysian government, in result our host (located in Malaysia) asked us to shutdown the QSS main site server.

We still have full control over all our servers and are working with our host & the malaysian government to find a solution for this stupid mistake.

We expect to be up and running within a few hours/days

Does that not make you feel proud?? Not only do we sell hard copies of movies... we are the top on the pirate's list for harboring pirate servers... I don't know about you.. but this is definitely something to take pride in... LOL...

It's kinda funny, American severs become host to our political voices, while our servers become safe havens for American movie pirates...

Survivor: Parliament

For the first time ever... I feel that Parliament News watching has now become my favorite pastime..

Back in the days of BN hegemony, I have resorted to watching American political comedies like the Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert shows... I rejoiced as I saw politicians in places of power reduced to comedic elements for our enjoyment.. Though it was all good at the time, I have always wondered what it would be like should our government official be subjected to such a treatment..

And then the next best thing happened... the March 8th election brought in more PR MPs to parliament... What followed is probably the best political videos I have seen for Malaysia... Big Foot, Treason, the richest unemployed person, Asking a disabled person to stand up when he clearly can't.. It was such a joke... One part of me felt sad for the barbarity that our parliament has descended to, but another part of me wanted to laugh cause that's exactly how I would expect 90% of Malaysians to behave should they be elected into Parliament..

But owh well.. the path to democracy is never easy... it may be bloody and full of violence.. or for Malaysia's case, it could be full of hilarious name calling and insensitive but funny side jokes... In fact, i am kinda proud of our parliament... The Americans have their corrupt lobbyist, South Koreans have their chair throwing, Malaysia has our name calling... LOL...

But all those aside... more important issues are being brought to light.. the repeal of the ISA and University Acts, the call for more freedom of speech, electoral integrity, freedom of information.. all of these issues have gained momentum in parliament, thanks to the increase in pro-reformasi PR MPs, a softer BN front, and an increase of parliament gatherings by NGOs...

So amidst all the name calling and nonsensical issues like charging MPs with sedition... Malaysians are made aware of important issues that have long been kept away from us by our esteemed overlords...

The hunger emergency

Well... today was kind of interesting... in my quest to understand the quantum world... i forgot to eat my lunch... and what followed was at around 5pm... The world in front of my eyes began to spin...

At first.. i thght it was just too much computers... so i opened the window and stared at leaves (a superstition i learned from school that postulates that the wavelength of the green color on a plant was at the same frequency of the iris' resonant "healing" frequency..)

After 30 secs, it was still to no avail.. the world was still spinning... So thus I moved on to my second hypothesis... I was going to lose my 20/20 vision... Immediately I attempted to read the title of the books on my bookshelf with as little squinting as possible.. hoping that I wasn't going to have to resort to glasses... Thankfully... it wasn't it either...

Moving on to the 3rd hypothesis, which assumed that my body's inner balance system was in need of a reset.. I jumped straight into bed in hopes of stabilizing it... That didn't help either... I was completely out of ideas... There was only one thing left to do...

Consult the Gods...

And sure enough... in 2 seconds.. Holy Google gave me the answer..

The article stated that sudden continuous dizziness are mostly due to a lack of electrolytes, dehydration, or a lack of food... Though not exactly a proper diagnosis, I was desperate enough to try anything now..

I took a ate a few candy, drank gulps of water, and proceeded to Chipotle to get me a supersized burrito... hoping that Google was right...

And sure enough, 3 hours later.... Everything had been stabilized....
Ain't Google great?

My phone history: I love my IPhone...

So yeah.. As the title suggest... i have an Iphone for quite some time now... N i m totally loving it...

As many of you would know... I don't change my phones often.. before the iPhone, I have previously owned only 4 phones.. And i found most of them pretty much lacking in some way or another...

Let's look at the first phone i got... the humble Nokia 2100...

Not really much to shout about... But of course back then in 2003, my mum would not allow me to have cellphones, claiming that secondary school students like me should not be so tech-savvy and should instead be studying... Boy was she wrong... After i got the phone.. my life took such a drastic turn... i went from no social life to a somewhat acceptable level of social life... I still remember the day when i was accepted into the cellphone owner's gang (Musab, Azrul, etc)... LOL... i was so happy... but yeah, but features wise... it was kinda shitty.. a phone, an address book, a clock and an alarm... well at least it gave me the opportunity to stop wearing my watch..

My praises: My first phone.. I am now wireless!!
My complain: It was hella hard to remove the battery pack coz the outer casing was hella thin that you practically had to use your nails... Its only a phone... :(
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A year later, I moved on to the moderate 6220...

As you can see... my new phone has a color screen and it also came with a camera, which could take moderately well photographs and 1 minute videos. It featured a nokia interface system similar to the 2100... It also came with a cool gprs downloader and i could now download polyphonic ringtones in the form of .mdi files... That was the first time i spent RM 20 just downloading stuff and understood the price that came with going multimedia...

My praises: Familiar interface, polyphonic tones, gprs downloader, video recorder and camera. A calender where you can put stuff on it... nice.... :)
My complains: One damn minute for video!! WTF... u can't put MPEGs, AVIs into it? U have to use a damn nokia system to put stuff in??!! (If i knew what was bluetooth then, I would say "NO BLUETOOTH!!")

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
About 9 months after i got the 6220, i moved up the ladder to the 6230.. My shortest period ever... After i found out about Bluetooth, the 6220 was just unbearable.. I mean wtf.. infrared??

As you can see here... It looks cleaner and sleeker than its older cousin... And most importantly, it came with bluetooth.. File transferring became waaaay easier and the ringtones were now full fledge mp3s... The 6230 also had enough RAM to allow prolonged video recording as long as you have the space... You could also expand your storage space through its conveniently provided mms slot... Video playback of 3gp versions of AVIs and MPEGs were now possible... My first video on it was Britney's "Toxic".. LOL... those were the days...

My praises: Yeay!! MP3s, videos, video recording... I have "everything" in a small sleek design..
My complains: screen is too small.. other than that, i believed the 6230 was the best phone i could ever own...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Flash forward 2 years... and my "perfect" phone was defecting... it kept switching itself off, the on/off button was malfunctioning, the battery life was fluctuating... but i love that phone so much.. but a malfunctioning phone was nothing but a souvenir( I still have it in my drawer!!)... So enter the N70... The only phone that i didn't buy with my own cash, my mum bought it for me..

It was touted by my mum to be better than my dearest 6230... However, my relationship with the N70 was like that of a dreaded arrange marriage.. Unfamiliar, fat, ugly, slow, unpredictable and forced onto me by my mum.. LOL... I would have gotten another 6230 if i had the choice...

My praises: I didn't have to pay for it
My complains:
Unfamiliar-- Nokia switched their interface and the N70 was as bad as a motorola or sony erricson.. ( I hate new interfaces btw, that's why i still use Windows XP)
Fat-- Compared to the 6230 the N70 was like an overweight hag...
Ugly-- the home screen was terrible, those damn icons blocked my wallpaper.. wtf...
Slow-- This was a serious problem, the countless times i missed to take photographs.. or the countless time wasted just waiting for the main menu to pop up... and the time wasted waiting for thumbnails.. OMG....
Unpredictable-- The SD card would not load at times.. and sometimes, I can't even see my gallery items...

a month after i got the phone, i wanted to get a new one... or probably another 6230... but i waited and waited.. until last month, when i finally made the switch...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Presenting my beloved iPhone... Or Panzer 3... (Panzer 1 is the laptop, Panzer 2 is the desktop)

And as you can see.. I love it very much...
Please note that Panzer 3 has been jailbroken and unlocked... I am using T-Mobile on it and it has a bunch of third party applications that would make Steve Jobs pretty pissed... but make me really happy!!!

Complains: It can't send stuff via bluetooth... And I can't change the battery myself..

Praises
